James L. Reiser, M.S., also known as “the Swim Professor,” is the founder of Swim Lessons University. After spending 12 years as the professor of aquatics at the University of South Carolina and leading his USA-S competitive team, Team Carolina, to back-to-back state championships, Reiser has turned all his attention back to his original passion–making children safer in and around the water.

Today, Professor Reiser is busy developing Swim Lessons University and running his franchise-prototype swim school in Columbia, SC–The Swim Lessons Company. Professor Reiser also is a frequent guest speaker at national swim school conferences, as well as an active volunteer with Midlands Safe Kids in Columbia, SC.
